About Me

Eliana (Ellie) Barth is a NYC and Hudson Valley based pianist, music director, educator and composer. She is currently finishing her Bachelors of Music in Music Education and Music Composition at the Crane School of Music at SUNY Potsdam.

Eliana has been very active as a student musician. Many of her compositions have been performed by student groups, including Crane Concert Choir and Crane Symphony Orchestra. She is currently preparing a sixty minute composition recital for the spring semester. Eliana is pursuing a Certificate in Piano Performance, and will also be performing her sixty minute piano recital in the spring. In addition to being a solo artist, she is a collaborative pianist and supports many Crane students in their lessons, studio performances, and recitals. She even spent a summer in Novafeltria, Italy as a collaborative pianist for La Musica Lirica, working with opera singers from all over the world.

Eliana is a spirited music educator, currently with her own private music students. She is trained to teach piano, violin and voice. She spent this past summer at Camp Kawanhee for Boys in Weld, Maine establishing a brand new music and choral program.

Eliana is very passionate about musical theater and music direction. This upcoming semester, she is directing SUNY Potsdam’s LoKo Broadway Showcase entitled “Broadway Hits and Misfits,” a program entirely created by her and executed by both her and her fellow colleagues. Eliana will be making her professional music directing debut as the music director of Michael I. Haber’s Face the Music at the Green Room 42 in Manhattan on January 29th. She is very eager for all of the exciting opportunities to come post graduation.
